Airbnb has launched a new programme for the FIFA World Cup 2026, enabling guests booking select stays across all 16 host cities to receive complimentary match tickets as part of their accommodation package.

The initiative covers matches throughout the tournament, including the group stage, knockout rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. Eligible listings feature complimentary tickets for guests and can be identified through a dedicated highlight on the property listing page.

According to Airbnb, select homes are being offered at an average nightly rate of USD 385, with bookings becoming available in phases aligned with the tournament schedule. The programme is designed to help travelling supporters attend matches while staying in local neighbourhoods across host destinations.

“Airbnb hosts don’t just offer you a place to stay — they provide a more authentic way to experience a destination,” said Dave Stephenson, Chief Business Officer at Airbnb. “And this World Cup, they’re doing something extraordinary: helping fans follow their teams wherever the tournament takes them, with select homes including free tickets in every host city.”

The first phase of bookings opened on 10 June 2026 for group-stage matches and Round of 32 fixtures across multiple host cities. Additional booking windows will open throughout June and July for Round of 16 matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the tournament final.

Guests can access the offer by searching for accommodation in host cities on Airbnb’s platform during match dates. Listings that include complimentary tickets are marked with a dedicated football-themed icon, and tickets are provided for all guests included in the reservation, subject to maximum occupancy limits.

The programme also highlights the role of hosts in creating unique travel experiences around major global sporting events. Federico Zimmerman, an Airbnb host in Dallas, said: “I grew up playing soccer — it’s been part of my life since I could walk. Getting to share that love of the game with guests, and actually get them into a World Cup match, is something I never could have imagined when I first listed my home on Airbnb. This is what hosting is all about.”

In addition to accommodation-linked ticket offers, Airbnb is expanding its FIFA World Cup 2026 engagement through fan experiences and surprise ticket giveaways. The company said that more than 1,300 complimentary tickets will ultimately be distributed to hosts and guests throughout the tournament period.
