Digital travel platform Agoda has unveiled its latest summer travel insights, highlighting the most affordable flight routes available to Indian travellers across domestic and international markets.
Based on one-way flight bookings made between March and May 2026 for travel between June and August 2026, Bangalore-Goa emerged as the lowest-cost domestic route for Indian travellers, with an average fare of INR 2,100. Among international routes, New Delhi-Dhaka ranked as the most affordable option, with average fares of around INR 5,000.
The findings come ahead of the peak summer holiday season, when families, students and leisure travellers typically increase travel activity during school breaks and vacation periods.According to Agoda, budget-conscious travellers continue to prioritise destinations that offer a balance between affordability and experience. The data highlights opportunities for Indian travellers to access cost-effective air connectivity while exploring both domestic and overseas destinations.
Across Asia, South Korea’s Busan-Jeju route emerged as the most affordable domestic flight route, with average fares of INR 765. Other low-cost domestic routes included Kuala Lumpur-Penang and Phuket-Hat Yai, both averaging INR 957, followed by Ho Chi Minh City-Tuy Hoa at INR 2,296 and Fukuoka-Tokyo at INR 2,392.
For international travel across Asia, the Tokyo-Taipei route recorded the lowest average fare at INR 574. Other affordable international connections included Pekanbaru-Kuala Lumpur (INR 1,531), Kuala Lumpur-Singapore (INR 1,627), Phuket-Singapore (INR 2,201), Taipei-Osaka (INR 3,157), Busan-Fukuoka (INR 3,253), Ho Chi Minh City-Kuala Lumpur (INR 3,253) and New Delhi-Dhaka (INR 5,071).
The report indicates that short-haul international routes continue to attract travellers seeking affordable overseas experiences while maintaining manageable travel budgets.
