JourneyLabel, a luxury travel company specialising in bespoke international journeys, has partnered with Mississippi River Country (MRC) to launch “America’s Greatest River Stories”, a tourism campaign designed for the Indian luxury travel market.

The initiative brings together five U.S. states – Minnesota, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana – under a single destination campaign aimed at promoting the cultural, historical and experiential attractions of the Mississippi River region.

The campaign highlights a diverse range of experiences, from the headwaters of the Mississippi River in Minnesota and Route 66 attractions in Illinois to Tennessee’s music heritage, Mississippi’s blues culture and Louisiana’s festivals and culinary traditions. Connected by the Mississippi River, the five states collectively represent one of the United States’ most significant cultural corridors.

Developed in collaboration with Explore Minnesota, Enjoy Illinois, the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Visit Mississippi and the Louisiana Office of Tourism, the campaign seeks to position the region as a destination for high-value Indian travellers seeking immersive and experience-led holidays.

According to the organisers, the initiative marks a rare collaboration among five state tourism organisations to jointly promote a shared tourism offering in the Indian market. The campaign focuses on storytelling, heritage, music, local traditions and cultural experiences that have shaped American identity over generations.

Doug Bourgeois, Chair of Mississippi River Country and Assistant Secretary of the Louisiana Office of Tourism, said, “We are excited to partner with JourneyLabel to introduce Mississippi River Country to the Indian travel market.
