Marzi, a lifestyle and wellbeing platform catering to adults aged 50 years and above, has launched an AI-powered travel concierge service aimed at simplifying travel planning and bookings for senior travellers.
The new offering combines artificial intelligence with human-led support to provide personalised itineraries, travel bookings, visa and documentation assistance, foreign exchange services, airport support and real-time travel assistance. The service is designed to address the specific requirements of older travellers, a demographic that is increasingly seeking independent and experience-led travel opportunities.
According to the Longitudinal Ageing Study of India (LASI), individuals aged over 60 account for approximately 12 per cent of India’s population. The segment is expected to grow to around 230 million people by 2036, representing 15 per cent of the country’s population. At the same time, India’s outbound travel market has crossed 30 million international departures, with senior travellers emerging as a growing segment.
Marzi said many existing travel platforms are designed primarily for younger consumers, often overlooking factors such as accessibility, comfort, pace of travel and personalised assistance that are important for older adults.
At the centre of the new service is Marzi’s proprietary Gen EV Score framework, which evaluates travel recommendations based on parameters including comfort, accessibility, safety, convenience and relevance. The company said its AI-powered platform can generate customised itineraries within minutes, while its Travel Mitr team provides personalised support before and during trips.
Unlike traditional booking platforms that focus on standardised travel products, the concierge service is designed to offer customised experiences tailored to individual preferences and travel styles.
Commenting on the launch, Adarsh Narahari, Founder, Marzi, said, “India’s affluent seniors are redefining what active aging looks like. They have spent their lives building successful careers and raising a family and now are ready to now explore the world and seek new experiences that enrich their lives. But most travel solutions continue to be designed for a younger audience. With Marzi’s travel concierge, we have created a category-first offering that combines AI-powered planning with accessible human expertise to deliver a more intuitive and relevant travel experience. Our vision is to become the most trusted travel companion for ‘Generation Evergreen’ in India.”
Vibha Singal, Co-Founder, Marzi, added, “We believe ageing is not about slowing down but creating new opportunities to stay engaged with life. One of the strongest traits of ‘Generation Evergreen’ is their desire to remain independent and make choices on their own terms. Our travel concierge services have been designed to provide guidance and support while ensuring choice remains at the centre of the travel experience.”
Founded two years ago, Marzi is building a broader ecosystem focused on social, emotional and lifestyle wellbeing for older adults. The company aims to reach 100,000 app installs by March 2027 and expand its community to one million members over the next five years.
