Centrum Air has announced an increase in flight frequencies between India and Uzbekistan, expanding its operations to five weekly services as demand for travel between the two countries continues to grow.
The additional capacity is expected to strengthen connectivity for leisure, business, medical and MICE travellers while supporting the broader growth of tourism and trade between India and Uzbekistan. The move comes amid rising interest in Central Asian destinations among Indian travellers and increasing economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Since entering the Indian market, the Uzbekistan-based carrier has reported strong passenger demand, particularly from travellers seeking access to the country’s historic Silk Road cities, cultural attractions and emerging business opportunities. The frequency enhancement forms part of the airline’s long-term growth strategy in India, which it considers a key international market.
Speaking on the development, Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Founder and CEO of Centrum Holding, said:
“India remains one of the most important international markets for Centrum Air. The increase in frequencies is a direct response to growing passenger demand and reflects our confidence in the market’s potential. We are committed to offering reliable, comfortable, and affordable travel options while strengthening connectivity between India and Uzbekistan.”
The expanded schedule will provide passengers with greater flexibility and improved access to Centrum Air’s growing network. Travellers will also benefit from onward connectivity to destinations across Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region.
Commenting on the development, Abhishek Goyal, CEO & Executive Director, Aeroprime Group, the airline’s general sales agent in India, said:
“The response to Centrum Air’s services from Indian travellers and the trade community has been extremely encouraging. Increasing operations to five weekly flights is a significant milestone that reflects the strength of the India-Uzbekistan travel corridor. We look forward to supporting Centrum Air’s continued expansion and making Uzbekistan more accessible than ever for Indian travellers.”
Uzbekistan has emerged as an increasingly popular destination for Indian travellers, driven by its visa-friendly policies, cultural heritage, and growing appeal for leisure, group travel and corporate events. With the latest expansion, Centrum Air aims to enhance travel options while further strengthening aviation links between India and Uzbekistan.
