Riyadh is set to enhance its international connectivity with the launch of six new air routes linking the Saudi capital to key destinations across Europe and the Middle East over the next seven weeks.
The network expansion will introduce new services to London, Madrid, Manchester, Dubai, Cairo and Jeddah, providing travellers with additional travel options and strengthening Riyadh’s connections to major global markets. The development forms part of ongoing efforts to support increasing demand for both business and leisure travel to and from Saudi Arabia.
Riyadh Air is accelerating the rollout of its route network alongside existing airline operators. Reflecting strong market demand, the carrier advanced the launch of its London service from 1 July to 10 June 2026. Services to Jeddah are scheduled to begin on 14 June, followed by Dubai on 18 June and Cairo on 25 June. European expansion will continue with flights to Madrid commencing on 17 July and Manchester on 23 July. Tickets for all routes are now available for booking.
The route additions come during a period of significant development across Riyadh and the wider Saudi tourism sector. Large-scale projects including Diriyah, Qiddiya and King Abdullah Financial District are contributing to increased visitor interest and business activity. These developments, combined with a growing calendar of international events, exhibitions and sporting competitions, are driving demand for enhanced air connectivity to the capital.
The new regional routes to Dubai and Cairo strengthen links across two of the Middle East’s busiest aviation markets, while services to Madrid and Manchester expand Riyadh’s reach into Europe. The additions are expected to support tourism growth, facilitate business travel and encourage greater cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and international markets.
Saudi Arabia has also continued to expand access for international visitors through a series of visa facilitation measures. The Kingdom’s eVisa programme now covers 66 countries and special administrative regions. Additional options include the GCC Residents Visa and the complimentary 96-hour Stopover Visa, while holders of valid UK, US or Schengen visas, as well as residents of the UK, US and European Union countries, remain eligible for an instant eVisa.
The latest route expansion underscores Riyadh’s growing role as a regional aviation hub and supports Saudi Arabia’s broader ambitions to increase international visitor arrivals and strengthen its position within the global travel and tourism landscape.
