SAP Concur has announced the availability of its new Concur Travel experience in India, marking a major update to its corporate travel management platform. The AI-powered solution is designed to help organisations streamline travel planning, booking and expense management while maintaining policy compliance, spend visibility and operational control.

The launch comes at a time when Indian organisations are balancing employee expectations with business priorities such as cost management, governance and sustainability. According to SAP Concur’s 2026 Global Business Travel Survey, 91 per cent of Indian business travellers would use AI tools not approved by their employer, while 73 per cent prefer alternative AI solutions over those provided by their organisation. The findings highlight increasing demand for integrated technologies that simplify travel processes and support informed decision-making.
“Organizations need travel solutions that can adapt to changing traveler expectations while helping businesses maintain governance and efficiency,” said Charlie Sultan, President, Concur Travel at SAP Concur. “The new Concur Travel creates a foundation for continuous innovation by combining AI-powered capabilities with a connected travel and expense experience, enabling organizations to deliver better traveler experiences while maintaining visibility and control.”

Built on a modern technology framework, the platform introduces streamlined booking and checkout workflows intended to reduce the time required to arrange business travel. Integration with SAP Concur’s expense management tools creates a connected process that extends from booking through reimbursement.

The updated platform offers a redesigned user interface across desktop and mobile devices, enabling travellers to search, compare and book travel options while adhering to company travel policies. Users also gain access to broader travel content, including expanded airline choices, enhanced hotel information and more detailed travel options displayed through a unified interface.

Advanced search capabilities are designed to help travellers identify relevant options across airports, city locations and preferred suppliers. The platform additionally supports improved collaboration through easier sharing of itineraries and travel details among employees and teams.
Sustainability features include visibility into carbon emissions and access to sustainable travel alternatives, supporting organisations’ environmental objectives and reporting requirements. Integrated approval workflows and policy controls further strengthen compliance and spend governance.
The launch also establishes the foundation for future AI-driven capabilities through SAP’s generative AI copilot, Joule. Planned enhancements include travel recommendations, trip planning assistance and travel cost estimates based on organisational data and traveller preferences.SAP Concur research further found that Indian business travellers favour AI tools integrated into existing workflows, with 54 per cent seeking calendar and email integrations and 53 per cent preferring proactive booking notifications. Through the combination of travel management, expense solutions and intelligent automation, SAP Concur aims to support more connected and efficient business travel experiences.
