Welcome to another week’s recap. Sharp has announced the Aquos R11, its latest flagship, with the headline upgrade being a new 38.5MP telephoto camera offering 2.8x optical zoom. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and features a 6.5-inch 240Hz OLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, and Android 16 out of the box. It launches in Japan next month, with no global release plans announced yet.

Xiaomi brought the Redmi Turbo 5 to India, with a massive 7,540mAh battery. It pairs it with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, 100W fast charging, and a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. Pricing starts at INR 35,999 ($420), with sales beginning on June 19.

DJI unveiled the Osmo Pocket 4P, its first dual-camera handheld gimbal camera. It combines a 1-inch main sensor with a new 60mm telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, while also supporting 4K video at up to 240fps and up to 17 stops of dynamic range. The Pocket 4P is launching in China with a starting price of CNY 3,799 ($530).

The new model also has a brighter 6.5″ 1-240Hz Pro IGZO OLED display and a larger battery.


It sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED display.


It’s now available for pre-order in China.


Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 is once again rumored to get a RAM upgrade from 8GB to 12GB, bringing the base model in line with the rest of the lineup and helping support more advanced on-device AI features. We’ve heard conflicting reports about the price of Apple’s upcoming iPhones – some reports suggest Apple will keep the prices intact, while others suggest otherwise. We’re sure we’re going to hear more on the matter by the time the iPhone 18 series closes in on its announcement.

While on the topic of Apple, a new report claims the iPhone Ultra has hit another speed bump and could be pushed into 2027. The speed bump? Production and supply chain challenges. Apple’s first folding iPhone will still be announced alongside the 18 series, however.

OnePlus confirmed that its first N Series smartphone will be unveiled in India on June 30. Aimed at younger buyers and first-time OnePlus users, the new lineup will sit below the Nord series and target the INR 18,000–25,000 ($210–290) price segment. The first model, expected to be called the OnePlus N6, marks a new direction for the brand as it looks to expand its reach in the highly competitive mid-range market.

Apple is playing the RAM game pretty well, it seems.


Originally, it was expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pros this September.
