vivo has shared more details about its upcoming X Fold6 as the company continues revealing key features ahead of the device’s official launch next week. In a recent post on Weibo, vivo product manager Han Boxiao confirmed that the X Fold6 will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery. According to the executive, the battery combines industry-first fifth-generation silicon anode technology with third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology.

The company says the new battery system significantly improves endurance. As a result, the vivo X Fold6 can deliver up to 9.8 hours of battery life during heavy use. vivo claims this represents a 30% increase over the previous-generation X Fold5.

Besides battery upgrades, vivo has also confirmed stronger durability features for its next foldable flagship. The X Fold6 will arrive with both IPX8 and IPX9 water-resistance ratings. In addition, the device will feature an upgraded hinge designed to improve long-term reliability.

Connectivity is another area receiving attention. vivo says the handset will include an enhanced communication system. The setup will use new Wi-Fi antennas and signal-amplification antennas to provide stronger, more stable connections.

The company recently showcased the foldable in a teaser video and has now revealed the official names of its color options. The vivo X Fold6 will be offered in Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night colors. A special Black Gold Edition featuring gold accents will also join the lineup.

vivo is set to unveil the X Fold6 in China on June 26. The foldable smartphone is already confirmed to feature an 8.02-inch folding display, a 200MP primary rear camera, and OriginOS 6 Fold. Powering the device will be a special edition of the Dimensity 9500 chipset.
