Honor has expanded its 600 series with the new Honor 600 Smart, a rugged mid-range phone aimed at long battery life and durability. It brings the largest battery in the 600 lineup outside China, paired with a large display and a reinforced build.
The Honor 600 Smart packs a 7,700mAh battery, which is bigger than the 7,000mAh units in the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro. However, those models come with smaller 6.57-inch displays and slimmer 7.8mm bodies. In comparison, the Smart measures 8.3mm thick.
According to the company, the phone can stream video for up to 28 hours nonstop. It can also last up to 93 hours on a single charge. Moreover, it supports 45W fast charging for quicker top-ups.
The device features a 6.87-inch LCD display, making it one of the largest phones in its category. It also offers up to 1,020 nits of brightness. However, the resolution stands at 720 x 1,592 pixels, which is relatively low for such a large screen.
The Honor 600 Smart runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. This is a 4nm processor with a sub-6GHz 5G modem. Honor has already used this chip in the Honor Play 80 Plus, which has a smaller 6.61-inch display and a 7,500mAh battery.
The chipset sits below the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 found in the higher-end Honor 600 models. It is not built for heavy performance tasks. However, the bigger concern is the 4GB RAM configuration. Honor claims users can expand it to 12GB using RAM Turbo. Still, virtual memory cannot fully match real RAM performance. The phone also includes 128GB storage, and it does not support expansion.
On the camera side, the main rear sensor is 50MP. It supports 1080p video recording, which is the limit of this chipset. Even so, it offers a clear upgrade over the 13MP camera on the Honor Play 80 Plus.
Durability is a key focus for this model. The Honor 600 Smart has passed drop tests from 2.5 meters. It can also survive water immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. In addition, it carries Swiss SGS Premium Performance certification.
The phone also includes stereo speakers with a 400% volume boost mode. It even adds a dedicated AI button for quick access to AI tools.
Honor France has listed the device as coming soon. However, pricing details are still not confirmed. Reports suggest that SFR, France’s second-largest carrier, will offer the device, though official pricing has not been shared yet.
